Update
This Saturday, 19 CAM participants had a great time volunteering at the Regional Food Bank. They have made so many changes in their facility since the last time I was there. They had well over 150 volunteers from a wide range of groups there yesterday. Most groups only work for 3 hours at a time and then new groups come in. For the first three hours, we had the opportunity to work side by side with a group of senior citizens from the Servants Church out of OKC, as well as some overly hyperactive elementary age, boys in a Cub Scout troop. We all had to wear those "wonderful" hairnets that went along with our plastic gloves to prevent contamination of the frozen ears of corn, which we had to repackage. Before lunch, we repackaged four pallets of corn. When we came back in the afternoon, it was just our group. We completed seven more pallets. We repackaged 533 cases- each weighing 30 pounds, which was equivalent to 12,300 meals! Way to GO!
